I have been lucky enough to see and photograph several rare and protected species throughout my time doing photography. While all living things deserve our respect and protection, there are some that need this even more than others. Every time I see an animal or plant that I know is endangered, threatened, or otherwise documented as being protected, it is a treat. However, I also know the importance of sharing their story as much as their beauty. So please do some research on the protected species in your area.
